A little under 2 years ago a group of us got together and created Experiment 12 http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/07/29/wot-i-think-experiment-12/ it was one of the most enjoyable game jams I've taken part in and most of us wanted to do it again. This time we wanted it to be public so more people can get involved.
The premise is pretty simple:
- You get 3 days to make a game that follows on from the previous games in the chain
How loosely or strongly you tie in to the previous games is at your discretion. Same goes for what form your game takes, you're not expected to follow the gameplay or visual style anymore than you think you need to.
You can use whatever development tools you like but you need to be able to produce a Windows EXE file of the finished game so we can bundle them all together in a launcher at the end.
The project will begin in 2 weeks time on May 7th when I'll make the first game, then from May 10th onwards it's up to the rest of you.
To sign up, visit this Doodle link and indicate which of the slots you'd be available for:
I've marked out a maximum of 26 slots which I think should be more than enough. Anyone is welcome to sign up, I'd just ask that you're reasonably sure you'll be able to finish your game in the 3 day time slot.
A few days before we start I'll close sign ups and put up a schedule of when everyone's due to make their games.
Let's do this!
UPDATE: We now have a full 26 participants, so if you signup now you'll be added as a reserve in case anyone drops out. Sorry if you wanted to get in on this one but I want to keep it to a manageable number. If it goes well we can revisit for another season.
